Phoenix, July 10: In a horrifying incident, a 36-year-old man allegedly held his girlfriend captive for over 14 days inside a shed in Phoenix, Arizona. The woman was reportedly tortured, beaten with an electrical cord, buried alive, and sexually assaulted under constant threats. The woman managed to escape by fleeing through the back of the shed and seeking help from a neighbour, prompting the arrest of the accused, Timothy Wood.

According to a report by The Mirror, the victim was bound with tow straps and locked inside the shed, with chains securing the doors and bricks piled outside to prevent her escape. Timothy Wood allegedly inflicted severe physical abuse, including beating her with an electrical cord and kneeling on her neck to stop her breathing. He also reportedly threatened to kill her with a saw and caused injuries to her foot by using the tool. US Horror: Man Kills and Dismembers 19-Year-Old Girl on First Date Before Scattering Remains in Milwaukee; Faces Life Term.

For two harrowing weeks, the woman endured captivity and torture in the confined space beneath the shed, where Wood even buried her alive for two days. Despite the trauma, she found a moment to escape through the back of the shed and rushed to a neighbour’s home for help. The neighbour described her as frightened and severely injured, with bruises, cuts, and black eyes. US: Horror Movie-Like Scene Unfolds at Kansas House, Babysitter Finds Intruder Under Bed After Child Complains of 'Monster' Hiding There.

Wood has denied all allegations in court, calling the claims “crazy” and suggesting the victim had mental health issues. However, prosecutors presented a grim picture of abuse and captivity, leading to Wood’s arrest and his current detention at Maricopa County Jail on a USD 150,000 bond. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities gather more evidence.
