'American Idol' Star Scotty McCreery Marries His Longtime Girlfriend

Washington D.C. [India], June 17 (ANI): Singer Scotty McCreery, who won the 10th season of singing reality show 'American Idol', has tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Gabi Dugal.

"This is it," McCreery tweeted on Saturday confirming ahead of his marriage, reported People magazine.

The couple exchanged wedding vows in North Carolina in front of more than 200 family and friends. The bride wore a sleeveless, V-neck Morilee wedding gown with lace accents. McCreery's childhood pastor officiated the ceremony.

"We've been dating six years and have known each other our whole lives. That kind of story doesn't happen too often nowadays. I support her dreams and she supports mine," McCreery said before his marriage.

McCreery and Dugal, a pediatric cardiac nurse, have known each other since their childhood. (ANI)
