Centre Hikes Honorarium for J-K SPOs

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh on Wednesday informed that the Centre has accepted the state's proposal to increase the honorarium of the Special Police Officers (SPOs).

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Sept. 26 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh on Wednesday informed that the Centre has accepted the state's proposal to increase the honorarium of the Special Police Officers (SPOs).

Talking to ANI, DGP Singh,"Keeping in mind the work and service by the Special Police Officers (SPOs) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Government of India has accepted Jammu and Kashmir's proposal to increase their honorarium," he said.

Under the renewed proposal, the Centre has agreed to provide Rs 5000 to SPOs under five-year of experience, Rs 9000 to SPOs who have completed five-year in the service and Rs. 12,000 to the one who have completed 15-year.

"We never thought that such a big amount will be approved so easily. We are happy that the Centre considered the hard work of our government and increased the honorarium," he said. (ANI)
