Cycle Rally Held in Jhalawar on Gandhi Jayanti

Nearly 12,000 people Tuesday formed a human chain on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and the district administration organised a cycle rally, officials said.

Jhalawar, Oct 2 (PTI) Nearly 12,000 people Tuesday formed a human chain on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and the district administration organised a cycle rally, officials said.

The human chain was formed under the 'Samaj Sparsh ki' programme. NCC cadets, anganwadi and health workers and members of local clubs among other participated in the event, a official said.

The programme aims at making girls aware about 'bad touch and good touch', Jhalawar district collector Jitendra Singh said.

In the cycle rally, at least 450 students, between the age of 13 and 19 years, participated, officials said.
