Kota, Nov 20 (PTI) A 27-year-old childless woman hanged self to death allegedly due to "taunts" of her husband and in-laws at Jhalawar's Kala Bhatla village, police said on Wednesday.

On the complaint of the woman's father, police have booked her husband and in-law for the abetment to suicide.

The body was handed over to family members after a post-mortem by a medical board on Wednesday morning.

Geetabai Tanwar, wife of Gyan Singh Tanwar, a resident of Kala Bhata village, had committed suicide late on Tuesday night by hanging herself from the ceiling fan at her residence.

She was found hanging on Wednesday morning, SHO Prushottam Mehta said.

He said on the complaint of her father, they had booked Gyan Singh, her father-in-law Devi Singh and mother-in-law Dev Bai.

The woman had married Gyan Singh around 12 years ago.

The deceased's father stated in his complaint that he had had visited her daughter's house five days ago, where she told him that she might kill herself one day due to the torture by in-laws, the SHO said.
