Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], October 7 (ANI): Himachal State project director of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan has issued a notification regarding the increase in the salaries of the special educators appointed under this scheme for elementary and secondary levels, an official statement said on Saturday.

The revised salaries of the special educators will come into effect from October 1, 2023.

According to the notification issued by the office of the State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha, the salary of special educators appointed under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan at the elementary level has been increased from Rs 8,910 to Rs 14,095 and from Rs 14,500 to Rs 17,936 per month at the secondary level.

In this regard, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said, "State Government was considerate to the demands of these teachers and had assured them of the increase in their salary which has been fulfilled."

"In addition to this, the emoluments of the existing vocational trainers under the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) have also been enhanced by Rs 2,000 to be paid in November 2023 along with the arrears," an official statement said.

In the aftermath of the decision taken, Himachal Education Minister Rohit Thakur thanked the Chief Minister for the initiative. (ANI)
