Odisha: CM Mohan Charan Majhi Raises Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity Limit of Employees to INR 20 Lakh From INR 15 Lakh

Bhubaneswar, October 8: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has decided to enhance the gratuity limit of employees from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.

As per his decision, the state government has enhanced the Death-Cum-Retirement Gratuity (DCRG) benefit from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh retrospectively from January 1, 2024, for all regular state government employees, according to the chief minister's office. Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi Enjoys Lunch at the Residence of a Party Worker in Ekamra Kshetra, Video Goes Viral.

It may be mentioned here that the central government has also enhanced the Death-Cum-Retirement Gratuity (DCRG) under Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 2021 for its employees with effect from January 1, 2024. Earlier this year in August, the central government also approved Unified Pension Scheme (UPS), to provide an assured pension, a minimum pension and an assured family pension.
