Karimnagar (Telangana) [India], June 19 (ANI): Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Union Minister of State (MoS) in the Ministry of Home Affairs, arrived in his Parliamentary constituency Karimnagar in Telangana for the first time after assuming the charge under the Modi 3.0 cabinet.
Soon after he arrived in Karimnagar, the MoS was captured bowing down and touching the ground.
Taking to 'X', Kumar wrote, "Extremely delighted to be back home & take part in the celebrations of Karyakartas and receive affection of people".
Visuals showed the MoS receiving a warm welcome from the people of Karimnagar upon his arrival.
As his convoy was passing through the streets of the constituency, people thronged to greet him.
Earlier last week, Kumar assumed charge as the MoS in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Bandi Sanjay served as the BJP's national general secretary and was the party's former Telangana president.
During the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he won from Telangana's Karimnagar parliamentary constituency, defeating the Congress' Velchala Rajender Rao by a margin of over 2 lakh votes.This is the second term for Bandi Sanjay as MP of Karimnagar.
In the 2019 general elections, he defeated Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Boinapalli Vinod Kumar. (ANI)
