Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], August 5 (ANI): Police have registered a case against an unidentified man after a complaint alleging him of harassing a woman in South Bengaluru on the morning of August 2, Officials said.

Police said that the suspect tried to "grab" and "harass" the woman.

The case has been registered under sections 76, 78 and 79 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on a complaint by the Woman's husband, police said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP South(, Lokesh Jagalasar said in the statement, "The incident is being taken very seriously, and the safety and security of women remains our top-most priority. A case has been registered, and the accused will be traced very soon and subjected to legal action. In addition to this, in areas, where there is a need for increased police patrolling, suitable action is being taken already". (ANI)
