In a significant departure from the original plan to host matches in six cities, the PCB confirmed on 22 March that all fixtures have been consolidated to the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. The decision, made in consultation with government officials, aims to manage logistics and security during the ongoing Middle East conflict, which has impacted local fuel supplies.

As a result of these operational challenges, the opening ceremony, originally planned for Lahore, has been cancelled. Furthermore, all matches will be played without spectators to ensure the safety of international and domestic players. Fans who had already purchased tickets for matches in other cities, such as Peshawar or Multan, are eligible for full refunds through official channels.

Expanded Format and New Franchises

The eleventh season introduces two new teams to the roster: the Hyderabad Kingsmen and the Rawalpindiz. This expansion has necessitated a revised tournament structure to accommodate the increased number of matches.

The eight teams will be divided into two groups of four. Each side will play their group rivals twice and teams from the opposing group once, ensuring a minimum of ten league-stage matches per franchise. Historic Venues and Debut Hosts

For the first time, the PSL will be staged across six distinct venues in Pakistan. While mainstays like Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi return, the 2026 season sees Faisalabad and Peshawar hosting matches for the very first time.

The Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad is scheduled to host seven fixtures, including high-profile clashes involving the Peshawar Zalmi. Meanwhile, Peshawar’s Imran Khan Cricket Stadium will finally welcome the league with an afternoon match between the home side and the Rawalpindiz on 28 March.
