New Delhi, April 12 (PTI) Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being awarded with Russia's highest state decoration, BJP president Amit Shah Friday said it is a matter of pride and joy for all Indians and is a recognition for the countrymen.
Modi has been honoured with Russia's highest state decoration, the Order of St Andrew the Apostle, for his role in promoting deeper cooperation between India and Russia.
"Congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on being conferred the order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, highest civilian award of the Russian Federation. Every such honour is a recognition for the people of India, who the prime minister represents on the world stage," Shah said.
He said it is a matter of pride and joy for all Indians. "Every award which has been given to Prime Minister Modi in the last five years is of every Indian who aspires for a happy and strong country." PTI JTR
