Sixth Pay Commission's Term in West Bengal Extended
The West Bengal government Wednesday extended the term of the Sixth Pay Commission for another six months, a government notification said.
Kolkata, Oct 31 (PTI) The West Bengal government Wednesday extended the term of the Sixth Pay Commission for another six months, a government notification said.
The Sixth Pay Commission was formed on November 27, 2015, with Prof Abhirup Sarkar as its chairman. Its term was scheduled to come to an end in November this year.
With the extension of another six months, the commission would now continue till May 27, 2019.
The term of the Pay Commission was extended earlier too, sources said.
