Surat: Open Manhole Claims Life of 7-yr-old Boy

A seven-year-old boy died after he fell into an open manhole in Surat's Varachha area.

Surat (Gujarat) [India], July 16 (ANI): A seven-year-old boy died after he fell into an open manhole in Surat's Varachha area.

Rohan R Bhil fell into the open manhole of drainage line near Nana Varachha police chowki in Kapodra police station area on Sunday afternoon while playing on the road in rain.

As rainfall turned incessant, Bhil slipped with the gush of water and fell into the manhole.

Soon after the incident a rescue team was called, who recovered the body of the boy. He was rushed to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival. (ANI)
