Raipur, Oct 26 (PTI)Three candidates filed nomination papers on Friday, the first day of filing ofnominationsfor the second phase ofChhattisgarh Assemblypollson November 20.
The process of filing ofnominationsfor 72 constituencies going to thepollsin the second phase began with issuing of a notification Friday, a statement from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer said.
One nomination each was filed for Raigarh, Dhamtari and Durg City constituencies on the first day, it said.
As per the notification, November 2 is the last date for filing ofnominationsin the second phase and after the scrutiny the next day, the last date for withdrawal is November 5.
The first phase of polling covering 18 constituencies will take place on November 12. Counting of votes will be held on December 11.
