Two Youths with Contraband Arrested at Agartala Railway Station
Two youths were arrested along with bottles of contraband at the Agartala Railway Station on Friday, said Government Railway Police (GRP).
Badharghat (Agartala), [India], Feb 2 (ANI): Two youths were arrested along with bottles of contraband at the Agartala Railway Station on Friday, said Government Railway Police (GRP).When the accused reached Agartala Railway Station in the Hamsafar Express, GRP personnel noticed some suspicious movement and stopped them for investigation.Following the probe, the GRP personnel found 289 bottles of banned cough syrup, including 114 bottles of phensedyl and 175 bottles of escuf in their bags.An NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985) case has been registered against them.Under ‘Nasha Mukth Tripura Abhiyan’ in Agartala, more than 67,000 kilograms of dry ganja, thousands of bottles of contraband and Yaba tables have been recovered by the police officials in last 10 months.
