New Delhi, Sep 21 (PTI) A 25-year-old undertrial prisoner at Mandoli jail has died under mysterious circumstances after being hospitalised, said a jail official on Friday.

The man, Shiva, was lodged in the jail in an attempt to murder case. He was hospitalised three-four days ago and died on Thursday at GTB Hospital, he added.

The official said Shiva consumed something when he was produced in the court and after returning to jail, he complained of uneasiness, following which he was hospitalised.

Police said a post-mortem was carried out and a magisterial probe is being conducted in the matter.

Shiva's family has alleged foul play in his death.
