Muzaffarnagar, Nov 6 (PTI) Two men in their 20s allegedly committed suicide in separate incidents in Muzaffarnagar and Shamli districts of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Wednesday.

Anshul, 25, allegedly committed suicide at his house on Tuesday by hanging from the ceiling in an area under the Kotwali police station limits, Station House Officer (SHO) Anil Kaparvan said.

The body was recovered after breaking open the door of Anshul's room, the SHO said.

The reason why he took the extreme step is yet to be ascertained and police are investigating the case, Kaparvan said.

In another incident, Ajay Kumar (23) allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday evening by jumping before a train in Ailum town of neighbouring Shamli district, police said.

The body was found on the tracks near Ailum Railway Station, they said, adding that the matter is being probed.
