Mumbai, March 17: BYD India today announced the launch of the Sealion 7 ‘First Anniversary Edition’ to celebrate the initial year of its flagship electric SUV in the Indian market. Unlike traditional special editions that focus primarily on aesthetic changes, this commemorative version introduces significant ownership value through complimentary hardware and extended service packages. The First Anniversary Edition is designed to bolster BYD's presence in the premium electric vehicle segment following the model's recent recognition as the "Premium EV of the Year" at the 2026 car&bike Awards. The BYD Sealion 7 continues to be powered by an 82.56 kWh Blade Battery utilizing Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology for improved structural rigidity and space efficiency. The Premium variant features a single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup producing 331 bhp and a range of 567 km, while the Performance variant employs a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering 520 bhp and 700 Nm of torque with a range of 540 km. Inside, the SUV maintains its high-tech cabin with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, quilted Nappa leather seats, a 12-speaker Dynaudio system, and Level 2 ADAS functionalities.

A key highlight of this edition is the upgraded warranty for the Low-Voltage Battery (LVB), which handles the vehicle's auxiliary electronics. BYD is offering an 8-year or 150,000 km warranty on the LVB, an extension from the standard 6-year coverage. The primary high-voltage drivetrain battery maintains its standard 8-year or 160,000 km warranty.
