Mumbai, February 20: Tata Motors has officially launched the highly anticipated Punch EV facelift in India, reinforcing its dominant position in the compact electric SUV segment. This refreshed model arrives with a more assertive exterior design and a significant overhaul of its feature list, aimed at providing a more premium experience to entry-level EV buyers.

The launch of the electric version follows the recent updates seen on its petrol-powered counterpart, bringing a cohesive modern identity to the entire Punch lineup. Tata Punch EV Facelift Specifications and Features

The updated electric SUV is available in two distinct versions: Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR). The LR variant features a new 40kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that produces 128hp and 190Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-100kmph sprint in under 9 seconds. This setup provides an ARAI-certified range of 468km and a "C75" real-world range of 355km. The MR version retains a smaller battery pack for urban-centric use.

On the feature front, the cabin receives a substantial upgrade including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, and a voice-assisted sunroof. Safety is prioritised with six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and hill hold assist as standard. Additionally, the new 65kW DC fast charging allows the battery to charge from 20 to 80 per cent in just 26 minutes, with a 15-minute top-up adding 135km of range.
