Life Insurance Corporation Of India (NSE: LICI)

The investment comes as Bajaj Finance raises funds through secured NCDs on a private-placement basis. The instruments carry an annual coupon of 8.15% and have a 10-year maturity, according to the company's filing.

Bajaj Finance (NSE: BAJFINANCE)

Bajaj Finance has allotted 5 lakh secured, redeemable NCDs with a face value of INR 1 lakh each, aggregating to INR 5,000 crore. The allotment was made on August 27, 2026, through private placement.

The NCDs are due for redemption on August 27, 2036, with interest payable annually. The fundraising is intended to support the company's general business requirements, including financing activities, repayment of existing loans, capital expenditure and working capital needs.

Rail Vikas Nigam (NSE: RVNL)

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited said Rakesh Bhalla has been re-appointed as an Additional Director, designated as an Independent Director, with effect from August 25, 2026. Bhalla was initially appointed to the position on August 13, 2026, and his tenure was due to end at the company’s AGM on August 25, 2026.  The re-appointment keeps Bhalla on RVNL's board in the independent-director capacity following the company's annual general meeting.

Adani Power (NSE: ADANIPOWER)

Adani Power said it has entered into a share purchase agreement with AdaniConneX Private Limited (ACX) for the sale of its entire stake in wholly owned subsidiary Chandenvalle Infra Park Ltd (CIPL) for INR 535.69 crore, subject to closing-date adjustments.

CIPL owns land parcels and associated approvals within Chandenvalley Industrial Park in Telangana and had not commenced commercial operations. The transaction shifts the asset to AdaniConneX, a joint venture between Adani Enterprises and EdgeConneX focused on data-centre infrastructure.

Wipro (NSE: WIPRO)

Wipro has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to roll out Gemini Enterprise across its own operations and help customers put AI to work on more complex business tasks. Wipro will deploy Gemini Enterprise internally and equip more than 10,000 AI-certified specialists to work with the technology.

The initiative includes a dedicated group of more than 1,500 forward-deployed engineers. Wipro has also announced a framework for integrating Gemini Enterprise into client operations and customer-facing platforms.

NBCC (India) (NSE: NBCC)

State-owned NBCC (India) has secured five work orders worth a combined INR 134.27 crore, excluding GST, spanning school campuses, an education facility and a Canara Bank building. The orders have been awarded by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Odisha's State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and Canara Bank.

Three projects from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan account for INR 110.58 crore and involve campuses in Darbhanga and Maharajganj in Bihar and Barkatha in Jharkhand. The remaining orders cover a Centre of Excellence for DIET in Bargarh, Odisha, and a Canara Bank building at Hospital Junction in Alappuzha, Kerala.

Lenskart Solutions (NSE: LENSKART)

Sources said a block deal has been launched in Lenskart, with Alphawave likely to sell a 1.2% stake in the company. The deal size is pegged at INR 1,313 crore, with a floor price of INR 630 per share, implying a discount of up to 1.7% to the current market price. The proposed transaction involves an existing investor reducing its holding. Lenskart's NSE symbol is LENSKART.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (NSE: BPCL)

Addressing shareholders at BPCL's 73rd Annual General Meeting in Mumbai on Thursday, Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Khanna said volatility would remain a feature of the energy industry, making a more diversified and resilient business increasingly important.

The comments come as BPCL continues to navigate changes across refining, fuel marketing, gas and the broader energy transition. The company has been pursuing diversification of supply sources and investments intended to strengthen operational resilience.

Hero MotoCorp (NSE: HEROMOTOCO)

Hero MotoCorp has approved an investment of up to INR 1,758 crore to buy additional shares in electric two-wheeler maker Ather Energy, a move that could raise its stake in the company to about 32.8% on a fully diluted basis.

Hero MotoCorp's stake stood at 29.88% on August 25, 2026. The additional investment will be made through a cash transaction involving the purchase of shares from an existing Ather shareholder, with completion expected by September 3, 2026. Ather is an existing associate company of Hero MotoCorp and operates in the electric two-wheeler segment, including charging infrastructure and related energy services.

New India Assurance Company (NSE: NIACL)

New India Assurance Company has received an income tax refund of INR 781.39 crore for assessment year 2022-23, including interest of INR 59.63 crore, according to a company disclosure. The refund was issued by the Income Tax Department following the resolution of a grievance.

The refund provides a cash inflow to the state-owned general insurer and follows the resolution of the tax-related matter for the relevant assessment year.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises (NSE: ZEEL)

Zee Entertainment Enterprises could be in focus after the NCLT approved a repayment plan proposed by Dr Subhash Chandra in his personal insolvency resolution process. Zee Entertainment's NSE symbol is ZEEL.

The case concerns insolvency proceedings against Chandra as a personal guarantor for loans taken by companies associated with him. The NCLT approved a plan under which the repayment to creditors is substantially lower than the admitted claims.

HDFC Bank (NSE: HDFCBANK)

HDFC Bank is exploring an appeal before the NCLAT against the NCLT order approving Chandra's repayment plan. The lender was among several major creditors that opposed the proposal.
