The production team secured access to the venue immediately following the conclusion of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season at the stadium.  According to production sources, the Eden Gardens sequences are vital to the narrative, as the crew recreates major milestones from Ganguly’s international cricketing career. Focus on Formative Years and Authentic Locations

The first phase of the Kolkata schedule heavily focuses on Ganguly’s early life, tracing his journey from the streets of his neighbourhood in Behala to his rise in domestic cricket. Filming initially commenced early Tuesday morning at Ganguly’s actual family residence in Behala before moving to the Dukhiram Cricket Coaching Centre and local club fields where he played during his youth.  Sourav Ganguly himself was reportedly present during portions of the shoot at both his Behala home and Eden Gardens, closely observing the production.

The biopic features an ensemble cast balancing Bollywood and regional Bengali cinema talent. Tanya Maniktala stars as Ganguly's wife, Dona Ganguly, alongside child actor Srija Bhattacharya, who portrays a younger version of Dona.
