Director Abhishek Pathak’s final film of the Drishyam Hindi franchise, titled Drishyam: The Conclusion, released in theatres on October 2, 2026. The film is a fitting finale to the intriguing murder investigation plot of three movies. The Hindi Drishyam films have been a little different from the original hit Malayalam franchise, starring the impeccable Mohanlal in the lead. Starring Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Tabu, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Mrunal Jadhav and Kamlesh Sawant, Drishyam: The Conclusion features the stylish Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj as new cast members to the hard-hitting murder mystery. Let’s see how Drishyam: The Conclusion (Hindi) has fared. Mohanlal's 'Drishyam 3' Twitter Review.
What Is ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ About?
Picking up from where the second film, Drishyam 2, ended, Drishyam: The Conclusion begins with the reopening of the case of State vs Vijay Salgaonkar. Tabu as Meera Deshmukh, former Inspector General of Police (IG), Goa, is at her wit’s end for not having been able to solve the murder mystery of her own son, Sameer Deshmukh. Her businessman husband Mahesh Deshmukh (Rajat Kapoor) saves her from taking her own life. He urges the new smart detective on the scene, Superintendent of Police (SP) Crime Rajveer Singh Tomar (Jaideep Ahlawat), to reopen the case. Tomar, who is keen to solve the case, is joined by sharp lawyer Indrajith Shetty (Prakash Raj). The audience who has watched Drishyam 1 and Drishyam 2 already knows what Vijay Salgaonkar has done and what he hasn’t. Now, the question remains, will Vijay Salgaonkar, his wife Nandini Salgaonkar (Shriya Saran), and his daughters Anju (Ishita Dutta) and Anu (Mrunal Jadhav) be caught?
Without revealing the end, one can say that Drishyam: The Conclusion is a fantastic watch. It has enough intrigue and twists and turns to keep you hooked. Writers Jeethu Joseph, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Abhishek Pathak have delivered a gripping film in Drishyam: The Conclusion. It serves as a fitting finale to Salgaonkar’s story, although whether it is legally or morally right, depends on audience perspective. Just like in Drishyam 2, Saurabh Shukla’s character of screenwriter Murad Ali does provide a hint as to the ending of the final film.
Performances in ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’
Ajay Devgn as the mastermind is a treat to watch. Third film in the franchise, and the actor as Vijay Salgaonkar is totally in character and doesn’t miss a beat. Shriya Saran deserves appreciation for her role, especially in the courtroom scene. Ishita and Mrunal do well as the daughters who know it all. Tabu being Tabu, is excellent as the stoic officer and grieving mother all-in-one. Rajat Kapoor supports Tabu and plays his part well. ‘Drishyam 3’ Cast Fees: Here’s How Much Ajay Devgn and Other Actors Charged for the Final Chapter!
Jaideep Ahlawat as SP Tomar is a class act. He is one of the best actors in the world currently. Not just his lines and his acting, even the way he has been presented is stylish. Especially that one shot where Tomar is shown from the front glass of his Mahindra Thar vehicle, as he is about to see Vijay – is great framing and cinematography by Sudhir K Chaudhary.
But it’s Kamlesh Sawant as the continuing character of Inspector Gaitonde, who steals the show with his punches and natural acting. The best lines of Drishyam: The Conclusion are reserved for Gaitonde! (Not revealing any of his dialogues here. Go watch it!) All the other supporting characters play their parts in a realistic manner.
Minuses - ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’
The pacing of the film for a murder thriller could have been faster, although the film in itself is not long by Bollywood standards. One also feels the end is a tad bit predictable. Being a fan of the franchise, one expected a bit more or a shocking twist at the end. Also, some kind of closure should have been provided to Meera Deshmukh – maybe a hint that her son wasn’t as good a young man, after all, and had attempted to harm Anju.
