Television actress Eva Grover, known for her roles in shows like Shararat and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, has opened up about the distressing circumstances of her former husband, Hyder Ali Khan, who is the stepbrother of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan. Eva Grover Claims Aamir Khan's Stepbrother is Struggling to Survive

Eva Grover painted a grim picture of Hyder Ali Khan's current life, stating that he is in a dire condition. "Today, Hyder is not in a good condition. He has no house and struggles even for food. Sometimes someone lets him stay in a chawl, sometimes a friend helps him. I feel sad," Eva shared during the interview.

She further elaborated on his struggles, revealing that he is surrounded by individuals who provide him with alcohol, and there is no one to care for him. "He is surrounded by people who keep giving him alcohol. There is no one to look after him. I only pray that whenever his time comes, he finds peace. He has suffered a lot," she expressed, conveying her profound sympathy despite their tumultuous past.

Troubled Marriage and Schizophrenia Battle

Grover also shed light on their brief yet abusive five-year marriage, which began in 2000 after they knew each other for just 18 days. She claimed she was unaware that Hyder Ali Khan was living with schizophrenia at the time of their wedding. The actress alleged that violence began just three days into their marriage. "On the third day of our marriage, I witnessed the first streak of violence. He had schizophrenia, but back then I didn't really understand what schizophrenia meant. I barely knew Hyder. In the 18 days before our wedding, I had only seen his chivalrous side. But on the third day of our marriage, he started hitting me during our intimate moment. At that time, I couldn't understand why it was happening," Eva recounted.

She believes his condition, coupled with heavy alcohol consumption and frustration after leaving his cabin crew job with Qatar Airways to pursue acting, worsened over time. Eva Grover endured "a lot of violence" before ultimately filing for divorce after the birth of their daughter, Nishtha Khan.

Aamir Khan's Awareness and Distance

Eva Grover also claimed that Aamir Khan was aware of her difficulties during her marriage to Hyder. She recalled hearing a message before her wedding that Aamir Khan believed she was making a wrong decision. "I had heard that Aamir sir had said I had not taken the right decision. That message had reached me before my marriage through other sources, but I didn't pay attention," she stated.

According to Grover, Aamir Khan has maintained his distance from this side of the family. Hyder Ali Khan is the son of Shanaz from her first marriage and became Aamir Khan's stepbrother when Shanaz married Aamir's father, filmmaker Tahir Hussain. He also had a cameo in the Jodhaa Akbar song "Khwaja Mere Khwaja" and appeared in films like Dil Toh Deewana Hai and Trump Card.
