Pagalpanti is estimated to be made on a budget of Rs 45 crores including print and advertising costs. Which means that this John Abraham, Anil Kapoor's multi-starer comedy has to cross the Rs 65 crores mark at the Indian box-office to be called a hit.
Anees Bazmee film might have a decent opening day gross at the box-office. LatestLY predicts Pagalpanti's opening day box-office collection to be somewhere around Rs 4.5 to Rs 5 crores. Pagalpanti would well cross the Rs 15 crores mark in its first weekend.
Pagalpanti has been getting mixed reviews on release. In his review for LatestLY, our critic Sreeju Sudhakaran wrote, "Pagalpanti works when it embraces its silly, madcap premise whole-heartedly to generate some good moments of situational humour, and the cast blending well with the inanity. But the second half is a letdown, with stretched-out gags and some bad editing choices".
