John Abraham's spy thriller Romeo Akbar Walter, which released on April, has ended its opening weekend on a good note. On day 1, the film performed averagely at the box office as it collected Rs 6 crore. The single-digit figure wasn't surprising because the trade experts had already predicted the same before the film hit the screens. While Friday was decent, Romeo Akbar Walter picked up the pace on Saturday and performed even better. The espionage thriller clocked in Rs 7.70 crore on day 2 and then went on to mint more money on day 3. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the Twitter a while back and announced the figures for the opening weekend. He wrote, "#RomeoAkbarWalter Fri 6 cr, Sat 7.70 cr, Sun 9 cr. Total: ₹ 22.70 cr. India biz. #RAW." Further, Boxofficeindia.com stated that since John starrer had an ordinary first weekend, the film cannot afford to witness a big drop in its collection on Monday.
The report pointed out, "There was some decent growth on Saturday and if it could have followed up with the same on Sunday it would have at least been a decent trend over the weekend. But the Sunday growth was 50% of the Saturday growth and now it remains to be seen where the film goes on Monday."The film cannot afford that normal Monday drop and has to sustain better."
