During their candid conversation on The Midnight Hour podcast, Fahad Ahmad recounted how his good friend, Umar Khalid, orchestrated their initial connection. "Umar Khalid, he's a very good friend of mine. So he told me, 'I'm sending you Swara's number, you just call her',” Fahad revealed. She typically avoids calls from unknown numbers but made an exception then, driven by the spirit of the movement and solidarity. Their paths continued to intertwine at various anti-CAA protests, where they shared similar ideologies and gradually forged a strong friendship. This friendship blossomed over three years before evolving into a romantic relationship. The couple formally registered their marriage under the Special Marriage Act on February 16, 2023.
