The first full-fledged trailer of the upcoming film Thackeray is out. Nawazuddin Siddiqui stars in this biopic as Bal Thackeray, founder of Shiv Sena. The new footage strikes as the rightly made biopic, without any whitewash, calling a spade a spade. A refreshing change for Bollywood that tends to make saints out of humans in biopics. The trailer has received an overwhelming response from the fans of Nawazuddin and Late Thackaeray. The trailer is already trending on Twitter and should start trending on YouTube in no time, as well.

Thackeray was a celebrated man in Maharashtra. He started his career as a cartoonist and moved on to become the most popular and controversial politician India had seen in the longest time. His story needed to be told on a grand scale. Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Thackeray is scheduled to release on January 25. The movie also stars Amrita Rao, who appears very briefly in the trailer. It is so good to see her make a comeback.
