Aditya Dhar's directorial venture Uri: The Surgical Strike has set the box office on fire quite literally. After surpassing the Rs 150 crore mark at the Indian box office, Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer has now beaten Sanju, Padmaavat and Simmba's third-week record which is brilliant, to say the least. The film has fared so well that it has ended up collecting over Rs 35 crore in its third week. Co-starring Paresh Rawal and television actor Mohit Raina, Uri released on January 11 and got off to a good start despite receiving not so great reviews from the critics. Uri - The Surgical Strike Box Office Collection Day 20: Vicky Kaushal's Film Is Still High on Josh, Earns Rs 167.48 Crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to popular microblogging site Twitter a while back and announced Uri's latest achievement. He wrote, "This is an EYE OPENER... #UriTheSurgicalStrike collects ₹ 35 cr+ in *Week 3*, which is more than *Week 3* biz of #Sanju [₹ 31.62 cr], #Padmaavat [₹ 31.75 cr] and #Simmba [₹ 20.06 cr], the #Top3 grossers of 2018. #Uri #HowsTheJosh."

He also tweeted, "#UriTheSurgicalStrike juggernaut continues... Will cross ₹ 175 cr in Weekend 4... Journey towards ₹ 200 cr begins... [Week 3] Fri 4.40 cr, Sat 9.86 cr, Sun 9.28 cr, Mon 3.43 cr, Tue 3.39 cr, Wed 3.37 cr, Thu 3.31 cr. Total: ₹ 171.07 cr. India biz. #Uri #HowsTheJosh."

Further, as per BollywoodHungama, Vicky's military drama has been minting an average of Rs 8 crore per day ever since it released in theatres which is absolutely phenomenal.

Well, the way Vicky and Yami starrer has been performing at the BO, it won't be long before Uri enters the coveted Rs 200 crore club at the Indian box office. But if Sonam Kapoor's latest release Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga turns out to be a good watch then things could slow down a bit for Uri.
