A campus event at Nirma University in Ahmedabad took a chaotic turn after a professor physically confronted a student on stage during a stand-up comedy performance by Rajat Sood. The incident occurred during Technophora, an event organised by the university's Electronics and Instrumentation (EI) department. The conflict unfolded while Professor Dr Himanshu Patel (also identified as H.K. Patel) was on stage alongside comedian Rajat Sood. According to eyewitnesses and video footage circulating online, a student in the audience shouted, "Jaldi kar, Panvel nikalna hai", a popular film dialogue from Golmaal 3.

Prompted by the heckle, the professor called the student onto the stage and confronted him directly. The situation escalated rapidly as the faculty member grabbed the student by his collar in front of the gathered audience.

While holding the student, the professor was heard issuing a stern warning: "I can go up to any extent. The day you dare to insult any faculty member of the Nirma University campus, you are gone forever."

Following the incident, National Students' Union of India (NSUI) leader Vedantsingh Tomar reportedly reached out to Professor Patel regarding the altercation. Patel reportedly defended his actions, describing the physical confrontation as an internal university matter.
