Deepika Padukone’s RK Tattoo Erased, the Actress Flaunts Her Bare Neck As She Leaves for Bengaluru With Husband Ranveer Singh – Pics Inside

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were all smiles as the newlywed couple were clicked at the Mumbai airport this morning. DeepVeer were heading to Bengaluru for their first wedding reception in India. Deepika looked ethereal in an off-white salwar kameez, while Ranveer looked dapper in all white kurta-pyjama and a colourful printed Nehru jacket. The duo walked hand-in-hand right after they stepped out of their car. We caught Ranveer whispering something into his wifey's ears and the actress broke into laughter. However, what caught our attention was the nape of Deepika's neck. And the famous RK tattoo that the actress continued to flaunt even after her split with Ranbir Kapoor was gone!

Yes, Deepika has gotten rid of the RK tattoo. There was buzz that the actress may modify it, but looks like Deepika felt it's best to erase her ex from her life especially as she embarks on a new journey with Ranveer. In an interview with Karan Johar the actress had discussed her tattoo and said, "It's (the RK tattoo) something that I felt was correct, and even today, I don't regret it. I have never thought about taking it off. I know the media is constantly saying 'she has taken it off', 'she has lasered it', 'she has changed it' and all kinds of things. It's very much there and I have no plans of taking it off." But that was way back in the day. Today she has not just had a long and happy relationship with Ranveer, but is now also married to the Gully Boy hero.

The actress has strategically avoided getting clicked with her bare neck. We have spotted Deepika on several occasions, but it seems like she managed to keep the removal of her tattoo a secret. In May last year, Deepika appeared in an advertisement sans her tattoo and many believed that it was digitally modified. In fact every time we spotted Dippy in the public, she was seen either with her hair down or then wearing clothes that cover the nape of her neck.

Even as she stepped out of Mumbai airport with Ranveer after their wedding and posed for the cameras outside the actor's Bandra residence...

Or then when she made an appearance alongside Ranbir's current lover Alia Bhatt on Koffee With Karan 6.

But looks like the actress no longer wants to hide or may be doesn't want RK tattoo or ex Ranbir to be discussed.

While the actress still continues to share a friendly equation with her ex-boyfriend Ranbir, an angry Deepika in an interview had revealed the real reason for her split with RK Jr. She had said, "The first time he cheated on me, I thought there was something wrong with the relationship, or me. But when someone makes a habit of it, you know the problem lies with him. I give a lot in relationships, and don't really expect much in return. But, infidelity is the deal breaker. Once it comes in, respect goes away, trust goes away and these are the pillars of a relationship you can't f**k around with it."

Deepika and Ranveer started dating in the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela. The actress was supposedly dating Siddharth Mallya, while Ranveer was rumoured to be in a relationship with Anushka Sharma. Deepika continued to keep her affair with Ranveer a secret and only recently on Karan Johar's chat show admitted about her six-year-old relationship. Ranveer on the other hand was always more open about his love for Deepika and was often seen making their relationship official with his gestures.

Ranveer and Deepika got hitched in Lake Como Italy amidst the presence of their close friends and family members. While Bollywood A-listers were not invited to this do, the couple's team of bodyguards and assistants were present with the actors. The duo is expected to host three receptions in India, out of which the first one will be held in Deepika's hometown, Bengaluru tomorrow.
