Are Jennifer Lopez and ‘Office Romance’ Co-Star Brett Goldstein ‘Casually Dating’?
Are Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein more than just co-stars? Reports on October 21, 2026, suggest the 'Office Romance' leads are casually dating. Dive into the details of their on-screen chemistry in the Netflix rom-com, previous denials, and recent sightings.
Hollywood's latest romantic speculation centres around global superstar Jennifer Lopez and Emmy-winning actor Brett Goldstein, with multiple reports emerging that the Office Romance co-stars are now casually dating. The news, breaking today, October 21, 2026, has set social media alight, reigniting a firestorm of speculation that has simmered for months since their Netflix rom-com premiered. What's Brewing Between Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein?
The pair, who shared undeniable on-screen chemistry in the recently released Netflix film Office Romance, have been the subject of dating rumours for over a year. While both Lopez, 57, and Goldstein, 46, vehemently denied any romantic involvement during their promotional tour for the movie earlier this year, sources close to the stars now indicate a more intimate connection.
According to a report from Page Six, Lopez and Goldstein are reportedly spending time together casually. This follows earlier sightings, including them being photographed arriving in the same car at a recent Los Angeles party, though they reportedly entered separately. These developments contradict their joint interview on the 'Today' show in June 2026, where Lopez stated, "Not dating," with Goldstein adding, "Correct," when asked directly about their relationship status.
However, the rumors have deeper roots. Lopez herself fueled initial speculation last October (2025) during an appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live', where she playfully referred to Goldstein as the "best kisser." Goldstein, known for his role as Roy Kent in Ted Lasso, has openly admitted to having a long-standing crush on Lopez dating back to 2019.
The 'Office Romance' That Started It All
The spark between Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein truly ignited with their collaboration on Office Romance. The American romantic comedy, directed by Ol Parker and co-written by Goldstein and Joe Kelly, debuted on Netflix on June 5, 2026. Goldstein reportedly wrote the role of Daniel Blanchflower specifically for Lopez's love interest.
In the film, Lopez stars as Jackie Cruz, a formidable airline CEO who enforces a strict anti-fraternisation policy. Her professional world is turned upside down when she hires the charming British lawyer Daniel Blanchflower, played by Goldstein. The plot revolves around their burgeoning secret office romance, a scenario that many fans now believe has spilled over into real life.
Office Romance was produced by a team including Aaron Ryder, Andrew Swett, Jennifer Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Brett Goldstein, and Joe Kelly. While the on-screen chemistry was evident, reviews for the film itself were mixed. Variety Australia noted the stars' endearing performances despite a conventional plot, while Pop Culture Junkie was less impressed.
This new wave of dating reports comes over two years after Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from actor Ben Affleck in the summer of 2024. Brett Goldstein was previously linked to British comedian and podcaster Beth Rylance, with reports suggesting their split in 2022. As of press time, neither Lopez nor Goldstein has officially commented on the latest casual dating claims.
