When the first Predator, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, came out in the '80s, director Shane Black had a small role to play in the movie, as well as having written it. It also remains the best Predator movie till date, and none of its successors, spinoff and a reboot (the one where Adrien Brody tries to go macho) manages to come anywhere near its brilliance. Now that Shane Black is back, this time in the director's chair, to kickstart the franchise again, we have hopes that he won't disappoint the fans of the Predator, that he himself was the key in igniting.

The first teaser of The Predator came a few weeks back and it was rather underwhelming. It gave us very few glimpses of the alien hunter and the cast. However, the new trailer rectifies some of those oversights, as it shows more Predator actor, have one Predator go against a bigger one, plus more of the cast in action too. With cast members like Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen and Thomas Jane, the stakes seem bigger. It also soaks well in all the fun that comes with the R-Rating that it aims for, namely bloody gore and foul language. Catch the trailer right here -

Here's the official synopsis of the movie - "From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black's explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe's most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race."

The Predator is scheduled to release in September 2018.
