Nandini CM, a 26-year-old Kannada and Tamil actress, died by suicide on Sunday (December 28) at her paying guest accommodation in Bengaluru. She was found in her room after returning from her boyfriend's place. The police were alerted after the PG staff and Nadini's boyfriend discovered that she was not responding to them. As per PTI, the police suspect suicide with a note recovered from the scene, citing depression and family pressure. Suicide Note Found Following Nandini CM’s Death
Actress Nandini CM died by suicide late Sunday night at her PG in Bengaluru. A suicide and a diary were recovered from the location where she mentioned her struggles with depression, family pressure, career and marriage. In her note, Nadini wrote about her family's desire for her to marry and take up a government job. However, she wanted to continue with her acting career. Based on this, her family members suspected no foul play in her death.
A police spokesperson told LiveMint that investigations are being conducted and statements will be recorded from Nandini's family members and close acquaintances.
Who was Nandini CM?
Nandini CM was from Kotturi in Vijayanagara district. She was the elder daughter of two teachers. Before following her passion for acting, Nandini completed her engineering. She later moved to Bengaluru to pursue acting and went on to feature in popular Kannada shows like Jeeva Hoovagide, Madhumagalu, Neenade Naa and Sagharsha. She was also a part of the Tamil serial Gowri.
