Netflix's hit sci-fi show Stranger Things will be coming back with its Season 3 and they will be teaming up with Coke to bring back the 80s drink New Coke. In the third season, the show will celebrate the 1980s era and the season will be out on July 4. The beverage company tweeted out 80s inspired ad video for the drink which will be reinvented 34 years later after it failed to impress the consumers back then. Stranger Things and Coca Cola will be teaming up to bring back the New Coke since the show too has a setting based in the summer of 1985. Stranger Things Season 3 Character Posters Reveal New Looks Of the Lead Cast, Expect Nothing Less Than Fireworks!

Coca Cola has already joined in the marketing fun to promote their own product that will be revamped in the series. The ad video shows the characters sharing the New Coke. It is a very bubbly advertisement that is loaded with 80s nostalgia. The video has received a lot of likes from the people on social media so there seems to be an excitement to try out the beverage. Stranger Things 3 Trailer: From Billy the Monster to the ‘Terminator’, 12 Things You Might Have Missed in the Promo of Netflix’s Supernatural Thriller.

Technically, New Coke isn't new. The drink was established back in 1985 but the company took it off the shelves after a couple of months, since the consumer feedback was negative. The company is once again getting it on the racks after more than three decades for a limited time. The 12-ounce cans will be available on cokestore.com. The idea was of creators Matt and Ross Duffer. It is a double win because it works for the promotion of the show and the drink vice versa. Another marketing plan involves keeping free cans of New Coke made available for a limited time via an upside-down "Stranger Things"-inspired vending machine in select cities.
