Rumours about Yeh Hai Mohabbatein going off-air have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. Earlier reports suggested that the show will go off-air in December but later on, it was rumoured to take a break in January 2019 and and then return with a second season, which will have a fresh story line. However, the latest we hear is that the show could be facing the final axe now. Yes, you read that right. According to a report in Bollywood Life, the channel has pulled the plug on the daily soap and the final call on its fate has been taken. However, when show's lead Divyanka Tripathi was asked about her show shutting down, the actress exclusively told us that reports of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein going off-air have been surfacing on the Internet for quite some time now but she isn't sure about it. Also, she further added, "I don't think Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is going off air yet."

Meanwhile Karan Patel, who is playing the male lead in Ekta Kapoor's Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, told us, "I have no clue on this. Yes, even I have heard these rumours but the best person to answer this question would be Ekta or the channel. I have no idea about this." Well, now we have wait to find if this is just another rumour or the reports will indeed turn out to be true.

Recently, reports were doing the rounds that the makers of the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein are gearing up for a spin-off. The new show, which is reportedly inspired by the Hollywood film The Sound of Music, will be titled Yeh Hai Chahatein. Reports have also suggested that the auditions for the upcoming show are currently on; while it will go on floors in March.
