The confirmation of the split came directly from Akanksha Chamola during her introduction on Lock Upp 2. Presented with an opportunity to share a personal secret on the reality show, Chamola revealed the status of her marriage to the public for the first time.  "Me and Gaurav are getting a divorce," Chamola stated during the broadcast. "We have been living separately for the last one year and it's not been public. It was a mutual decision." She added that despite the decision to part ways, there is no bad blood between them and they continue to maintain communication.
