Actor Palak Purswani, who is part of Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, loves being part of the project. The actor, who has been a part of shows like EK Aastha Aisi Bhi, Meri Hanikarak Biwi and web series Dil Hi Toh Hai season 2, says that she loves her character Shweta. “Negative has always been my genre as it’s so challenging to perform a negative role rather than a positive character. Shweta’s character is special as it has both parts to play. She is trying to be the naive one in front of Kunal and she is negative otherwise. So, I get to play both which is the fun element. Also, I loved being the ‘blast from the past’. There’s so much drama to add to the show,” she says. Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke June 26, 2019 Written Update Full Episode: Shweta Plans to Use Abir and Mishti’s Relationship to Separate Kunal And Kuhu

Recalling how she was roped in for the project, Palak reveals, “I got a call from the production house to give an audition. I was in my hometown Nagpur so I flew down to Mumbai for some work as well as for the audition. I gave the audition and took an evening flight back. I got a call the very next day to come back and sign the contract. The audition went quite well and I was excited to bag yet another antagonist character in a show like Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke.”

However, the actor adds that she cannot associate much with her character. “I cannot relate to it. Honestly, I’m a totally different person in real life. If I have to describe myself then I’m totally a vibe-person and I don’t get along with people with negative vibes. I believe in positivity and a good vibe environment off the screen.” However, Palak reveals that she can totally relate to her character Shweta’s wardrobe choices and she loves them. Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Key June 24, 2019 Written Update Full Episode: Meenakshi Brings Shweta Back into Kunal’s Life to Keep Kuhu Away

Another fact that the actress admits is that she has been a staunch admirer of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, of which Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke is a spin-off. “Honestly, I had heard a lot about this show, especially from my family, before I joined. I started watching it the moment I got locked for the role of Shweta. I did watch a few episodes and love the way the show looks,” she says.

The actress is also all praises for producer Rajan Shahi and Director’s Kut Production, she says, “It’s been great so far. I personally met Rajan Shahi at the office for the character discussion. It was altogether a great vibe. I’ve never felt uncomfortable with anyone nor has anyone disrespected me on the set. It’s a great opportunity to work with Director’s kut. It feels like a family.”
