Rockstar Games has confirmed that the physical edition of Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) will not include a game disc. Instead, buyers will receive a boxed copy containing a one-time-use code to download the game digitally, a move that has reignited debate over physical game ownership and digital distribution.

The announcement came as GTA 6 pre-orders went live on Wednesday. While the game will still be sold in retail stores, the physical edition will only contain a digital download code, meaning players will need an internet connection to access the game.
