The listings surfaced on FNAC Portugal's marketplace, where several GTA 6 product pages were reportedly spotted under generic Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) names. The pages showed price tags of €89.99, €119.99 and €199.99, leading many fans to believe they represented the standard, deluxe and collector's editions of Rockstar Games' upcoming blockbuster. However, prominent industry insider billbil-kun quickly poured cold water on the rumours, claiming the listings were merely placeholders. According to the leaker, the SKU codes did not match Take-Two Interactive's traditional product identifiers, suggesting the prices were randomly assigned and not linked to official GTA 6 pricing.

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has previously addressed concerns about GTA 6's potential price. Speaking at the Interactive Innovation Conference earlier this year, Zelnick indicated that the company focuses on delivering value rather than charging premium prices simply because of high demand.
"Consumers pay for the value that you bring to them, and our job is to charge way, way, way less for the value delivery," Zelnick said, adding that gamers should feel they are receiving fair value for what they purchase.
He also noted that the pricing of major video games has remained relatively stable for more than a decade, with most new releases launching between USD 60 and USD 70 despite rising development costs.
Rockstar Games officially began its GTA 6 marketing campaign on June 18 by unveiling the game's cover artwork and confirming that pre-orders will open on June 25 across digital storefronts and select retailers.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, marking Rockstar's first mainline GTA entry in more than 13 years since the launch of Grand Theft Auto V, one of the best-selling video games in history.
