Mumbai, Aug 11: Anant Bajaj, managing director of Bajaj Electricals and son of the company's chairman Shekhar Bajaj, died on Friday after a cardiac arrest. Anant Bajaj, who was 41-year-old, suffered a cardiac arrest around 6 pm in Mumbai. His last rites were performed at Chandanwadi crematorium in Kalbadevi on Saturday morning.

Anant Bajaj, who began his career as a project coordinator in Bajaj Electricals in 1999, was appointed as managing director of the company two months ago. Earlier, he held the position of joint managing director in the company. He was the member of the young Entrepreneur Wing of the Indian Merchant's Chamber. (ALSO READ: Bajaj Finance Ltd. According to a report, Anant Bajaj was the brain behind an integrated research and development facility under Bajaj Electricals for developing high-tech appliances. He also established a digital centre in Mumbai with emphasis on real-time monitoring, social listening and IoT analysis, said the report.
