Bengal Girl Injured in Tent Collapse Receives Marriage Proposals After Getting PM Narendra Modi's Autograph
The parents of the girl have said that Rita had received one proposal before as well, but they had demanded a dowry of Rs 1 lakh
Bankura, July 27: In a tragic incident that took place few days during PM Narendra Modi's rally in Midnapore, a portion of a make shift stage collapsed, where more than 90 people were injured in it. In a recent report on the Times of India, a Bankura girl, who was one of the injured in the incident has become a celebrity in her village. When Modi visited them in the hospital, she got an autograph from the PM. Reportedly, it has also landed her two-marriage proposals.
According to the report, the Rita Mudi has been quoted as saying, "I requested an autograph,” Rita said. “I saw him hesitate a bit. But I insisted. He then smiled, and wrote, "Rita Mudi tum sukhi raho. The paper was provided by a person who was standing next to him."
Post the tragic incident on that fateful day, Modi asked a Special Protection Group (SPG) personnel, deployed for his security, to help those who got injured. Later, he visited the injured in the hospital and enquired about the condition of those who were hurt.
