The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the list of vocational or skill education subjects for both class 10 and class 12 for the examinations that will be conducted from February to March 2019. Those who will appear in the board exam next year can check the detailed list on CBSE’s official website; cbse.nic.in. It further shall be noted that the schedule and date of the examinations will be released later. The board in total has listed 15 vocational subjects for class 9 and class 10. And for class 11 and class 12, CBSE has listed 40 subjects in total. CBSE Class 9 & 11 Registration Process Begins! Apply Online Before October 22.
The official notice reads, “The list of candidates (LOC), i.e., the examination forms have not yet been filled, therefore, after receiving the complete data of examinees, who would be appearing in Class 10 and in Class 12 examination in 2019, the subject list of February and March/April month will be finalised and communicated looking into the combination of subjects opted by the students.” The detailed list can be viewed from the official website. Apart from the 40 vocational subjects, CBSE will conduct the exams for Typography and Computer Applications (English), Web Applications, Graphics, Office Communication, etc. in February as these subjects have a larger practical module and short theory papers. As per an earlier announcement, CBSE mentioned that from next year onwards, the annual board exams would not be held in March, but in February. The move has been adopted following the Delhi High Court’s order dated July 11, 2018, in which CBSE and Delhi University were directed to ensure from the commencing academic year, the result, including re-evaluation, is taken into account while determining the cut-off date for admission to the colleges of DU.
