UGC NET Cut Off 2026: Subject-Wise Expected Marks Out, Experts Decode Trends After December Session

New Delhi, February 5: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the UGC NET December 2025 results on February 4. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check and download their scorecards from the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, by logging in with their registered credentials.

The UGC NET December 2025–26 examination was conducted in computer-based mode between December 2025 and February 2026 across 85 subjects. Earlier, the provisional answer keys were released on January 14, and candidates were allowed to raise objections till January 17. As per the official data, the UGC NET cutoff for English (Unreserved category) stands at 186 marks, while Economics recorded the highest cutoff at 232 marks. The cutoff for Political Science is 214 marks, and Philosophy is 228 marks. Subject-wise and category-wise cutoff details are available on the official portal.

Meanwhile, attention has shifted to the UGC NET Expected Cut Off 2026 for the upcoming June session. The official cutoff will be released only after the June 2026 examination concludes. However, experts have already shared subject-wise expected cutoffs based on the difficulty level of the recently concluded December cycle. Aspirants are advised to analyse these trends to better prepare for the next session.
