Mumbai, May 7: At least three people have been killed and over 18 people have been injured in a deadly accident in Maharashtra on Monday. According to a tweet by ANI, the incident took place after three vehicles collided with each other on Washim-Akola road near Ridhora.
The deadly incident took place in the early hours on Monday. The injured ones have been rushed to a nearby hospital. More details on the same are underway.
Earlier this month, a container truck ploughed into a crowd along the national highway number 6 in Bhandara district of Maharashtra, killing five and wounding seven persons. According to details by the Police, the incident occurred around 8.30 pm when the people, attending a wedding function, were standing near the roadside at Lakhni Taluka.
Reports inform that the container truck was on its way from Sakoli to Nagpur when suddenly a bike came in front of it and to prevent a collision, it took a sharp turn, ploughing into the crowd.
In April, a similar accident took place where 18 people were killed and 14 were injured after the truck they were travelling in crashed into a barricade on the Pune-Satara highway in Maharashtra. Another similar incident took place in Maharashtra in which about 10 people of a marriage party were killed and five injured in a road accident near Lakhni in Bhandara district. The accident took place around 9.30 pm on the Mumbai-Kolkata national highway when he marriage party was coming from Sakoli on a jeep and was hit by a truck from the opposite direction.
