Jaipur, March 30: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly threw acid at her ex-husband in Rajasthan on Friday. As per initial reports, the woman threw acid on the man with the help of her new husband.

According to details by ANI, the incident took place when the coupe was on their way to court for hearing in post-divorce maintenance case in Jhunjhunu city of Rajasthan. The police investigating the matter is underway.

On Thursday, a similar incident of acid attack was reported from Ujjain where a woman suffered severe burns after her husband and in-laws allegedly threw acid on her at Gudari Square area. As per reports by TOI, the victim had refused to agree to her husband’s plan to marry another woman. Reports state that the couple had also been fighting over a dowry demand of Rs 2 lakh made by Rehman, investigating officer SI Neetu Gurjar told TOI.

The report further states that the incident took place in the night when Tarannum Bi picked up a fight with her husband Rehman over latter’s plans of a second marriage.

Earlier in March, another incident was reported from the national capital where four men and a woman were arrested by the Sahibabad police. The men were arrested for allegedly throwing acid on a 24-year-old woman at Mohan Nagar trisection. As per reports, the police said that the accused woman was the victim’s roommate and her office colleague and had planned a conspiracy with the other accused to throw acid on the victim as she was envious of the woman’s affair with a boy.
