Traders across the country will observe a Bharat Bandh (nationwide strike) today, February 18, to register their protest against the Pulwama terror attack. Local trains, metro and other transport services may get affected due to the Bharat Bandh call. As part of Bharat Bandh agitation, traders will observe a day-long fast and take out tribute march and candlelight march in their respective states.

Kashmiri girls on Sunday denied reports of they being locked up in a hostel room in Dehradun in the wake of protests against Pulwama terror attack. In a video, posted by Uttarakhand police, Kashmiri students said they were scared by a gathering of some agitated people, however, the police and administration ensured their safety. State chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat also warned of strict action against rumour mongers.

Three days after the attack on a CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama, a convoy of Pakistan army was attacked by armed men on Sunday, The Balochistan Post reports. According to the report, nine people died and 11 others were injured after armed men attacked Pakistan army's convoy in Panjgur district of Balochistan earlier today.

A day after Congress President Rahul Gandhi raised concerns around 'Make in India' initiative after Vande Bharat train experienced trouble during its initial run, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal hit back saying the Congress leader has insulted India’s intelligence and hardwork by mocking the programme. "It is very unfortunate that he has attacked a flagship programme that doesn’t belong to a political party, but to the people of India," Goyal told ANI.
