New Delhi, June 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's one-day visit to Madhya Pradesh today is likely to remain the biggest news of the day. In Maharashtra, the ban on plastic comes into effect from today. Wholesalers, distributors, retailers and consumers will be barred from using all forms of plastic bags and storage items. The violators would be charged Rs 5,000 for first offence, followed by Rs 10,000 for second offence and Rs 25,000 and 3 months in prison for third violation.
Meanwhile, the Human Resource Development Ministry has provided a major relief to NEET students as they would be provided examination centres in their home-state from the next academic year. The announcement was made on Friday by HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar.
