On Tuesday, the Karnataka Assembly Election results were declared. It was indeed a dramatic day, as new twists and turns took place till the final result of the counting was declared. Even though, BJP emerged as the single largest party, but it fell short of the majority mark. This opened a lot of opportunity for Congress and JD(S) to come together and form a government. In a tragic accident, an under-construction bridge collapsed near Varanasi Cantonment railway station. Eighteen bodies have been recovered from the debris, while several others were still trapped under the rubble. Several vehicles were also reported to be stuck under rubble.
