How The Case Unfolded
Surendra Sharma had reportedly been missing since May 18. His wife, Ruby, filed a missing person report on May 26, repeatedly telling family members and neighbours that he had disappeared without a trace.
On Friday, police visited the house as part of verification in an unrelated old case and grew suspicious of Ruby's behaviour during questioning. Acting on crucial information provided by the deceased's brother, officers searched the premises and noticed signs of suspicion around the bathroom floor. Body Recovered After Floor Was Broken Open
When police excavated the bathroom floor, they recovered Surendra's body, triggering shock across the area as a large crowd gathered at the spot. Preliminary investigation revealed that after the murder, the body had been buried in the bathroom and then plastered and tiled over to prevent anyone from suspecting foul play.

Police said Ruby panicked when officers arrived for verification on Friday, which raised further suspicion and led to the recovery.
Wife Taken Into Custody, Confesses To Crime
Police have taken Ruby Sharma into custody and are interrogating her to establish the motive and sequence of events behind the killing. She has reportedly confessed to the crime during questioning.
Investigators believe another person may also have played a role in the incident, and the probe is being advanced with this angle in mind. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
Police officials said all aspects of the case are being investigated and that further action will be taken based on the evidence gathered during interrogation and forensic examination.
