The three-minute-two-second CCTV recording captures normal school activity being interrupted as an immersion procession moved past the premises with a DJ playing music at an extremely high volume. As the acoustic vibrations shook the classroom, several children turned toward the windows and doors, while the young student began to appear visibly uneasy.
The footage shows the girl collapsing: in the first instance, she slumps into her chair and her head rolls back onto the desk behind her. A classmate attempts to shake her awake and pushes her head forward. Although she briefly readjusts and attempts to sit upright, she places her head back onto the desk, lifts it momentarily, and then slides off her seat as her body goes limp.
The girl's family claimed that her condition deteriorated rapidly amid the loud sound, alleging that she suffered three successive heart attacks in quick succession before collapsing.
School Staff Describe Race to Save Student
School administrator Ashish Upadhyay confirmed the incident, stating that the entire sequence of events was documented on the institution's CCTV network. He alleged that the DJ was operating at an excessive and dangerous volume during the religious procession, triggering the fatal episode.
Describing the moments leading to the tragedy, class teacher Iqra Khan said: "I am a teacher here. Yesterday, when I was teaching, a DJ arrived. The volume became extremely loud, and the classroom started to vibrate. That is when the student suffered her first attack. When we noticed this, other teachers arrived, and she was immediately taken to the hospital; her parents also came there."
School coordinator Pummy Mishra detailed the immediate resuscitation efforts: "The teacher called us. When we went upstairs, we saw a child lying unconscious. We picked her up and started rubbing her hands and feet after removing her shoes, but she didn't regain consciousness. We brought her downstairs, and we rushed her to the hospital emergency ward."
Police Launch Probe and Examine Medical Records
The incident has triggered widespread outrage among local residents, raising critical concerns over safety compliance around educational institutions and flagrant violations of noise pollution regulations.
District authorities confirmed that a formal inquiry has been instituted into the matter. Police said that whether the student died due to the sound of the DJ or if there was an underlying medical reason behind the sudden collapse will become clear only after the complete investigation report is compiled.
Superintendent of Police Martand Prakash Singh stated that appropriate legal action will be initiated following an impartial and comprehensive probe into the circumstances leading up to the student's death.
